I am still riding that summertime high over here. I refuse to admit that it is quickly coming to an end. One of my favorite parts of summer is all the fresh, in season produce. I don’t know about y’all, but we eat fresh fruit like it is going out of style. And we typically buy WAY TOO MUCH at one time. So, in an effort to use up some fruit we had, I created this easy and delicious Honey Lime Fruit Salad.
The glorious thing about homemade fruit salad is you can add any fruit YOU want. For example, melon just ain’t my thing. Sometimes it can be really good, but most of the time it is pretty flavorless. So, when you make it yourself, you can add all the good fruit, AND it will be way fresher than if you bought it at the store.
Honey Lime Fruit Salad
This fruit salad is super kid friendly. My kiddos devour it. I just made sure to only add the fruit they would actually eat. The combination possibilities for fruit salad is truly endless. Get creative and have fun with it.
To make this recipe, all you need is 5 cups of your fruit of choice. I used 1 cup of each: blueberries, grapes, pineapple, strawberries, and kiwi. You will also need 1 lime and some honey. I told you it was simple! This fruit salad recipe allows the fruit flavors to shine, while adding just a touch of tangy sweetness. Just mix everything together in a bowl and serve.
On instagram last week, I posted a picture of a school lunch meal prep idea. This fruit salad is a perfect addition to lunch boxes. It would also go well with any of these recipes:
