The BEST Buffalo Chicken Dip

The BEST Buffalo Chicken Dip recipe ever. It's bursting with flavor, so incredibly easy to whip up, and is the ultimate appetizer for game day (or any day for that matter).

  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded or diced
  • 1 8 ounce cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup hot sauce *Frank's is the best!
  • 1/2 cup ranch dressing *my homemade recipe takes this dip to the next level
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded and divided
  • crackers, chips, or veggies for serving


  1. 1. Preheat oven to 400. Place the cream cheese in a bowl and microwave in 30 second spurts until softened.

  2. 2. Mix in the rest of the ingredients, mixing well. 

  3. 3. Pour the mixture into a baking dish.

  4. 4. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until cheese is melted. 

  5. 5. Serve with chips, crackers, or veggies.

Recipe Notes

For the chicken:

  1. Buy a pre-cooked chicken and shred it up. 
  2. Cook chicken in your Instant Pot (my favorite way)! Toss your chicken (I use tenderloins. They are cheaper and cook quicker). Add 1 cup broth or water. Cook on the Poultry setting for 15 minutes. Shred it!
  3. Bake the chicken in the oven. 400° for 15-20 minutes. Shred it!
